Resumen

The advances towards the knowledge society and the crisis caused by the COVID19 pandemic have once again modified the ways of accessing information, the processes of knowledge construction and the teaching functions. This chapter describes the results obtained from a cross-sectional teaching innovation carried out during the academic years after confinement (2020/21 and 2021/22), which aims to examine the perceptions that students of the degrees in Early Childhood Education and Primary have on the instructional use of a web application, Educaplay. Pearson’s Chi-square tests show statistically significant differences when considering sex and degree. In the case of sex, they are observed, for example, in the useless comparison vs. useful; not demanding vs. demanding and considering the degree in another as boring vs. interesting. However, when performing the t-student tests for independent samples, only statistically significant differences are obtained when considering sex and course to the benefit of men and 2021/22 participants. According to these results, the academic implications that the use of this type of web applications in the teaching and learning processes of Higher Education are discussed and assessed, considering sex, degree, and academic course
