Abstract
Educating emotions in the early stages of life is a great challenge, which seeks to contribute to the integral formation of children, for optimal formation, during this stage the human being shows himself as he is, what It generates greater facility to observe their actions and the manifestations of their emotions. The main objective of this work is to describe the studies carried out on the emotional world of children in the school environment, through a compilation of bibliographic and statistical data and reports of State intervention to benefit children. The research sample is made up of 180 students and 7 teachers from the district of Santa Marta, Magdalena (Colombia). The methodology used is descriptive, mixed and non-experimental. The results show the need to strengthen emotional intelligence through programs and daily activities within the educational institution.
