Abstract

The history of the curriculum in teacher training is the history of a move from the cultural sphere to the professional sphere, expressed in the loss or gain of cultural training or professional training. Thus, the organization of teaching practice has gone through different stages according to the importance afforded it by these different curricula. Educational systems, the University and experts in the forming of teachers all have to look towards producing a teacher, an educator. The influence of Teacher Training Schools on the socio-political and cultural context is significant. To analyse the different curricula in teacher training is to analyse the trajectory of education within the perimeter of educational improvement.
