Cuatro sonetos quijotescos dedicados a Eulalio Ferrer

Resum

Eulalio Ferrer stands as one of the most important and recognized Cervantists in Hispanic society, so it is convenient to remember his figure and his work of disseminating Don Quixote on the IV centenary of the birth of Cervantes. Since his exile during the Spanish Civil War and his experiences in concentration camps, he took refuge in Don Quixote and survived thanks to its story. The novel was so important to him that he spread it in Mexico, where he went into exile, and even in China, which has led to the improvement of cultural relations between the Hispanic community and the recognition of the novel in other countries. Due to these facts, this article pays tribute to Eulalio Ferrer and recalls four quixotic poems dedicated to this Cervantist by his friends, the Spaniards Gerardo Diego and José Hierro and the Mexicans Rubén Bonifaz Nuño and Octavio Paz.
