Abstract

The review deals with a monograph on the poetry of Luis Felipe Vivanco, written by Andrés Romarís Pais, a student of his figure. He has wanted to vindicate it, since Vivanco has always been forgotten, despite being close to the Generation of 27. Through Vivanco's diary and his words, Pais tries to establish a coherent argumentative thread that can be seen in his work. In his detailed analysis, he shows different perspectives that are later unified. A review of the poet's life is made, as it is related to his verses and his ideas at all times. In several of them he laments the situation in Spain in the 1930s and 1940s, especially with the famous collection of poems Tiempo de Dolor. In his works, the Christian religion and the relationship with death are always present. In each of the six chapters of Pais's book, several collections of poems related chronologically and dealing with issues of the time and the author's life are outlined and commented on. The conclusion regrets the neglect of this poet, who changed ideological sides and still was not recognized.
