Abstract

Starting from the premise that explicit teaching of languageskills such as morphology and syntax can expand the reading strategies of deaf people and reduce the prevalence of key word strategy, this chapter presents the design and experimentation of a material created for the explicit teaching of these morphosyntactic skills. The starting hypothesis is the application of strategies for the acquisition of the skill of written comprehension that are taught in the field of Spanish as a second and foreign language to the field of teaching the deaf group.
