Abstract

The recurrence of post-memory among descendants of people who have suffered tragic events has generated a narrative current of which Lydie Salvayre, in the case of French literature written by the descendants of Spanish Republican exiles, stands out with her work Pas pleurer. The writer felt the moral imperative to restore the past with the aim of bringing men, women, historical and social events, ideological trends out of oblivion... without falling into the Manicheism to which these can lead. The mixture of fiction, autobiography and intertextuality as a mechanism of remembrance and the defence of linguistic crossbreeding and interculturality are key elements studied in this analysis
