Resumo

This work aims to offer a vision of mysticism based on the great mystics of the Christian tradition. These mystics provide us with a way of life based on the participation within the divine life and communion that is achieved through the contemplation that creates the intimate bond between God and the believer. The Church Fathers provide us with a triple vision of Christian mysticism. They insist that the revealed Word is the foundation of the itinerary that the mystic undertakes. On the other hand, liturgy is a key element because Liturgical mysticism sees two fundamental aspects in the economy of salvation: history of our times, but anchored in a dimension of eternity. As a third aspect, they offer us the mysticism of the Light that serves to illuminate and whose primary agent is the Holy Spirit that intervenes progressively in human being history, illuminating and purifying the heart of the believer who reaches the knowledge of God through the path of love.
