Abstract
To talk about Convention 107 is to delve into the universe of indigenous peoples and tribal populations: their world, culture and spirituality. Indigenous people are present on all continents and are part of the great human family like each of us. However, the mindset of economic and rapid growth, modernity and progress, have always been the great dilemma that our indigenous peoples have faced for the defense of their culture and way of life, contrary to what the governments’ own interests to achieve integration towards what they mistakenly called the only possible culture: development
