Abstract
The article “Morgana in Murgia and in Tagliaferri” will focus on highlighting the work of the Italian writers Michela Murgia and Chiara Tagliaferri in contravening the incisive symbology that surrounds the literary character from the thirteenth century to the present.Works such as the Vulgate, the Post-Vulgate, but, above all, The Death of Arthur, by Thomas Malory will negatively influence to continue with the archetype of "evil witch" in contemporary novels (The Mists of Avalon, by Marion Zimmer Bradley; Geneva, by Rosalind Miles; and, King Arthur. The Son of the Dragon, by M. K. Hume). The authors will break with these stereotypes to highlight their importance. To do this, they will take the characteristics that have made her unique (independent, free, determined, strong, etc.), to highlight those women of our time, who share similarities with Morgana.
