Las mandas testamentarias de carácter litúrgico y musical del obispo don Diego de Fonseca a la Colegiata de Toro

Abstract

Following the acquisition by the Fonseca family of the patronage of the main chapel of the collegiate church of Santa María la Mayor de Toro, Bishop Diego de Fonseca made a serie of orders in his will, an unpublished document that today comes to light, in favor of that church. Among them is the warrant of the construction of a new highly-placed choir and the installation of his organ, which after various avatars will last until the end of the 17th century at least. In addition, the bishop donates a serie of liturgical objects that will be used in the collegiate church for centuries and of which nothing is preserved.
