Abstract

Non per me sola by Valeria Palumbo is an important book about the female condition in Italy from the 19th century to the present, through the novels written by Italian women. The author’s hope is to build a new literary canon, which welcomes, in both school and society, the mentioned works. The aim of this article is to shed light on the novels realized by Italian women writers and collected in Non per me sola, proving their importance and their empowering function.
