Résumé

Alfonso X’s collaborators posed the role of culture in the Alphonsine project as a link between power and government, with an original communicative device based on royal authorship and the use of the Romance language. Within this framework, history would have had a particular virtuality as a discourse aimed at establishing a civil ethics and a space for the recognition of the political actors linked to the king, who set himself up as the creator of the historical narrative, both in its particular and universal dimension.
