Resumo

The extensive Spanish emigration to America in the last third of the 19th century and up to the 1960s will have a very notable impact on the places of arrival, as well as a change in the perception of Spain from America. Emigrants and their descendants, although to varying degrees and intensity, will in many cases maintain a close relationship with their places of origin that goes beyond the family relationship. Difficulties in communication in many periods will not eliminate this link.
