Abstract

Objective: The objective of this study is to clinically describe a patient with agoraphobia anxiety disorder through the development of a case study. Method: In this study, three techniques were applied to collect information, the unstructured interview, psychological examination and analysis of clinical history. Results and conclusions: Through the tests provided to the patient, it was possible to obtain that she has difficulty establishing adequate states of well-being, manifesting all the characteristics of agoraphobia. Apparently it rests on a base where it indicates that the patient needs help, her hands behind her back reveals the lack of contact that exists with the outside world, the way in which people do not communicate makes it possible to notice the lack of communication observe how the patient reflects a nervous character, that is, she is impulsive, fickle, unconscious, discontinuous in her work, violent, variable in sympathies and friendships.
