The article discusses the reforms of the Ecuadorean electoral system based on the validity of the 2008 Constitution of the Republic of Ecuador. It points out the necessary and compulsory adjustment of electoral policies to the constitutional prevalence and pyramidal norm established in articles 424 and 425 of the Constitution. It also analyzes the fundamental principles of electoral justice and their application in administrative and jurisdictional proceedings. Within the aforementioned context, it carries out a review of the legal reforms of the Code of Democracy since it came into effect, and the political juncture around said reforms.
