Abstract
This paper serves as a prelude to a monographic issue dedicated to exploring the limitations of the liberal model of political representation. The author presents a comprehensive overview of the challenges arising from the modification of the traditional rules of liberal democracy to address the underrepresentation of certain cultural and disadvantaged groups.
