Abstract

Music is for children a form of expression and a means of communication. Musical activities allowchildren to live personal experiences, encouraging feelings and emotions (De Moya, 2005). Word andsound, narration and music, texture, light and color, have common elements. Thus, rhythm, phrasing, melody, prosody, volume, movement, and form are discourses that reinforce each other in a complementary symbiosis and enhance the value of communication and artistic creation through musical tales(De Moya y Syroyid, 2021a, 2021b). The basis of our proposal is the French tale by O. Lallemand(2011) Le loup qui voulaitchanger de couleur[The wolf that wanted to change its color]. It narrates thedaily skin color changes of a black wolf that does not like its own color of skin. After applying differentstrategies for changing its color. At the end of the week, he concludes that he feels best as a wolf andends up accepting himself as he is. A series of artistic activities are developed based on this tale tostudy foreign languages: French and English, in the 1st stage of Primary Education (bilingual section). The main goal is to develop core skills in students through emotional education through dramatization, music, and visual arts. An original composition, a gestural song, with a recurring chorus or leitmotiv, talking about the story of the wolf, in Spanish, French and English was created. Throughthis composition, key language skills aredeveloped. Students perform the song accompanied by basic rhythmsmade with body percussion and sound objects. In team, students create illustrative vignettes about thestory of the wolf, associating its color changes to a specific emotion, using different textures and materials. The values transmitted with these educational and recreational activities arebasic nutrientsfor aquality education.
