Abstract

CorSinoELE. "Corpus of spoken and written Spanish by sino-speakers" consists of 395 oral and written texts produced by 99 Chinese speakers, students of Beihua University, located in the Chinese region of Jilin, with a Spanish level of A2 and B1. Each student produced four texts, two oral and two written, amounting to a total of 15:43:15 of recording and 55,276 words. In each production modality (oral and written) there are descriptive and narrative texts motivated by tasks described in the data collection procedure. CorSinoELE was created with the purpose of providing a data bank for researchers of Spanish language learning by sino-speakers in order to carry out lexical, morphological, syntactic, discourse analysis, in general, and even phonetic studies (with oral texts). The intention is that the corpus will be expanded and that other researchers will be able to host their texts in CorSinoELE to offer the scientific community a large sample. The difficulty of compiling texts produced by sino-speakers of all levels (especially at higher language levels) creates the need to publish corpora such as CorSinoELE, with open access and a spirit of collaboration in order to grow.
