Resumo

Since 1985 Archaeology has experimented very deep changes which have reviewed its aims as a social and historical science. Recent university reform has dissociate Archaeology from History and Art History, generating its own course of study through the introduction of degrees and postgraduate courses. However, this introduction is not exempt of lacks and contradictions which affect the capacity of Archaeology and its professionals to adequate science to current social demands. Through a diachronic study of the introduction of Archaeology in the University, from the 19th century to the �Bologna Process�, the causes of those lacks in the study plan area analyzed.
