Surgical techniques for the approach to mandibular atrophy are varied, with different indications depending on the type of atrophy and the conditions of each patient. Therefore, it is of vital importance to individualise each case, even using two different approaches in the same patient. These clinical cases, which allow us to visualise the long-term evolution of the techniques in the same patient (split mouth), provide us with valuable data on the success of the different therapeutic protocols.
