Zusammenfassung

In the context of contemporary social and technological transformations, the role of university teachers in promoting a humanistic pedagogy acquires fundamental importance. This study addresses the analysis of the humanistic developmental functions exercised by university teachers, focusing on how these contribute to the comprehensive development of students. For these purposes, a qualitative and explanatory methodology has been used, a documentary bibliographic review was carried out, based on inclusion and exclusion criteria, in order to select relevant academic sources. The findings reveal the existence of key pedagogical practices and organizational structures that promote the integral development of the student, this emphasizes the importance of teaching management, continuous training, ethical values and the modeling role of the teacher. These dimensions highlight the integration of critical skills and adaptability to sociocultural changes as relevant to raising educational quality. It is concluded that university teachers are key as facilitators of knowledge and defenders of a humanistic education, enriched with ethics and social sensitivity, which demands their constant updating and ethical commitment to guide students towards comprehensive development and quality Higher Education.
