Resum

This study is dedicated to optimizing the design of digital interactive multimedia installations (IMIs) in museums, beginning with the cultural heritage professional's perspective. Initially, it outlines and examines how these professionals view IMIs and their expectations for them, aiming to ensure their implementation in exhibitions accurately reflects their needs and objectives. This comprehension is vital for the enhancement of the design and functionality of IMIs. The research seeks to establish a conceptual framework for creating a specific Evaluation Matrix for IMIs, enabling the assessment of the extent to which they align with the museum professionals' expectations and objectives. This approach will yield critical data regarding the congruence of IMIs with the museum's aims, focusing not on the interaction of the visiting public but on how the IMIs embody the museum's core values. The ultimate goal of this study is to delve deeper into the understanding and effectiveness of IMIs from the museum professional's viewpoint, aiming to enrich the visitor experience and ensure that the museum's values and goals are effectively communicated through these interactive installations.
