He holds a Degree in Political Science from the University of Salamanca and a Master's degree in Advanced Studies in Political Communication from the Complutense University of Madrid. He holds a PhD from the University of Salamanca, obtained within the Rule of Law and Global Governance doctoral program, with a dissertation developed in the research line of public communication policies and political communication. He has completed research stays at internationally recognized institutions such as the European University Institute in Florence (Italy, 2024) and the University of Gothenburg (Sweden, 2025), as well as at the national level at the University of Valencia (Spain, 2024). His research is situated at the intersection of Political Science and Communication. His academic interests focus on the contemporary dynamics of political communication, particularly strategic communication—both electoral and institutional—audience behavior, media effects, and the structural relationships between political power, economic power, and the media system. His recent scholarly work has focused on analyzing the impact of traditional media news consumption on affective polarization. He has contributed to teaching in a range of university subjects, including Social Science Methodology, Methods and Techniques, Foundations of Political Science, Politics and Governments of Asia, Politics and Government in Spain and Parties and Party Systems.
