Esther M. Sánchez Sánchez (esther.sanchez@usal.es) is Associate Professor of Economic History at the University of Salamanca, Spain. She received her PhD in 2003 from the University of Salamanca, jointly supervised with the University of Sorbonne-Paris 4. Her research has principally focused on French-Spanish relations during the 20th century, as well as the role of French multinationals in Spanish socioeconomic development. She has organized and participated in many national and international congresses, seminars and workshops. She has also taken part in research and teaching projects obtained through public merit-based competitions, undertaking the direction of some of them. She is the author of the books Rumbo al Sur. Francia y la España del Desarrollo, 1958-1969 (Madrid, CSIC, 2003) and Historia del uranio en España. De la minería a la fabricación del combustible nuclear, c.1900-1986 (Madrid, SNE, 2020). Her most recent publications include also articles in Business History, Revista de Historia Económica, Ayer, Journal of Contemporary History, Enterprise & Society, Revista de Historia Industrial, Hispania, Historia y Política, History & Technology and Industrial & Corporate Change.
