Doctor by the Universidad de Salamanca with the thesis Gestión del conocimiento en sistemas E-Learning, basado en objetos de aprendizaje, cualitativa y pedagógicamente definidos 2008. Supervised by Dr. Francisco José García Peñalvo, Dr. Ángela Barrón Ruiz.

I develop a research activity as head of the research group in Multiculturality, Innovation and Applied Technologies (MITA-USAL https://produccioncientifica.usal.es/grupos/3830/detalle). Its relevance and contribution to the generation of knowledge can be seen in the scientific activities, projects and dissemination activities related to its main lines of research: Multiculturality and Interculturality in formal educational contexts. Didactic innovation applied in different educational areas. Development of competences mediated by technologies, educational assessment in multicultural environments, eLearning, learning objects, instructional design, teacher training, learning assessment. The generation of ideas, hypotheses and results are visualised in two recognised six-year research periods, the results of which have been communicated through the direction and participation in numerous innovation projects jointly and in coordination with colleagues from different degrees and centres and also in other competitive projects such as "Education and Multiculturalism in Avila and its Province" funded by the Gran Duque de Alba Foundation and "Advancing towards interculturalism in the classroom", funded by the University of Salamanca. Outreach activities include the organisation and management of two international congresses, with the aim of creating a community of researchers interested in discussing and reflecting on the challenges of UNESCO through the 2030 Agenda. The I edition of the International Congress on Inclusion, Interculturality and Equity in Education (INCLUYE 2021), was held on 1-3 December 2021, resulting in the book Morales-Morgado, E.M. (Ed.). (2023). Interculturality, Inclusion and Equity in Education. Ediciones Universidad de Salamanca. https://doi.org/10.14201/0AQ0331. The II edition of the event was held from 13 to 15 December 2023, broadcasting the sessions live, published on our Youtube channel in open access (https://www.youtube.com/@girmita9946). I have also organised a series of open talks, where we have invited various professionals from the field of education to share their experiences on topics such as: "Equity and Equality in Education", "Interculturality", "University teacher training" and "Mentoring for inclusion". My scientific-technical responsibilities are visualised in the organisation of all the activities carried out by my research group https://mita.usal.es. My contributions to society include teaching to people with special needs through the "UniverUsal" programme and to the community in general through the "Provincia Universitaria" programme, the development and participation in round tables on Service-Learning Projects at the University of Salamanca. My leadership is reflected in my leadership of a GIR and my collaborations in numerous international stays and collaborations. Among my contributions to technological development is HEODAR (Evaluation Tool for Reusable Didactic Learning Objects), registered with my intellectual property product of my doctoral thesis, which has been developed for integration into the Moodle platform, whose development has been published in journals and conferences. My collaboration with industry has taken the form of numerous stays in European and Latin American centres, where I have carried out dissemination activities and dissemination of the activities of my research group, I have given courses and conferences and I have participated in the development of local projects.
