During his Ph.D., he studied experimentally the effect of impurities on the quantum well structures properties. He conducted magnetotransport and cyclotron resonance experiments at low temperature (down to 1.5K) and high magnetic field (up to 16 T) in Montpellier University and in the Laboratory of intense Magnetic field in Grenoble, France. Afterwards, he worked with the Bureau Nationale de Metrologie (BNM, French agency of metrology) where he conducts research on Quantum Hall effect phenomenon and its application for the conservation of the Ohm unit. Between 2003 and 2005, He developed with STMicroelectronics company a new method for characterization of the new generation of sub-micron silicon transistors and their use for detection of terahertz radiation. In 2005, he was awarded the JSPS (Japanese Society for the Promotion of Science) postdoc fellow where he built with his mentor, Prof. T. Otsuji, a new terahertz laboratory at the Research Institute of Electrical Communication at Tohoku University in Sendai, Japan. He demonstrated for the first-time emission of terahertz radiation by using HEMT (High Electron Mobility Transistors) devices based on InP/GaInAs and GaN heterostructures. In 2008, he was awarded the Ramón y Cajal fellow with Salamanca University where he constructed a new investigation group on the development of new optoelectronics devices for Terahertz technology (THz imaging, THz detection, DC & THz characterization from 300K down to 4K, Solar cell characterization). He was a cofounder of the new clean room facility at Salamanca University. He was the recipient of two contracts with UNISOLAR company and recently with the Instituto Nacional de Técnica Aeroespacial (INTA). He is author and co-author of more than 70 scientific publications, 3 book chapters, editor of one book, and participates in more than 100 international conferences as speaker and invited speaker.
