Abstract

Abstract The audiovisual sector has been in constant evolution. The cinematographic industry could not remain behind. Much of the processes in the stages of preproduction, production and postproduction are now digitals. The links end of the cinema, the distribution and the exhibition had resisted the technological offensive, but finally, the cinema this becoming to give rise to the digital cinema. The present dissertation focuses on this transition. From the technological aspects such as technologies employed in the digital projectors, servers, the stereoscopic projection, and standards to define the new media. In addition to analyze the operational benefits and economic implications arising from the use of this system.
