Abstract

Service-learning is a methodology based on learning content through the realization of a service which to solve a social need in the students’ environment. This methodology is suitable for teacher training, because it’s essential to competences and acquire attitudes sensitive to social needs. In this work, we analyzed 8 service-learning projects which have been designed and implemented by future teachers in the subject “Knowledge of the natural environment in Primary Education”. Most of these projects focused on problems related to waste management and lack of basic resources, which were mostly disseminated through social networks.
