Resum

This paper measures the Nebrija effect in a corpus of sixteen grammars for French and English speakers published between 1586 and 1660. To this end, firstly, a comparison is made between the structure of the contents of Book V of the Gramática sobre la lengua castellana, the first piece of the textual series of Spanish for foreigners, and that proposed by the grammars. Secondly, we look at the explicit quotations found from the master and, on the basis of these, we establish a classification of the Nebrisian traces according to whether they deal with (a) theoretical, (b) descriptive or (c) authoritative issues
