Abstract

Knowing the sources that were consulted for the elaboration of a grammar, the theoreti- cal framework that was used as a reference, or the descriptive patterns characteristic of its doctrinal affiliation helps to reconstruct the grammatical context from which to interpret the ideas under study in a historiographical investigation, since «some grammars may help to better understand others» (Gómez Asencio 1981: 13).This paper collects a selection of textual paralells between works gathered from the grammars’ treatment of conjunction, with the aim of illustrating how the treatments of this category –due to the idiosyncrasy of this particle, due to the limited interest for its rammatization shown for most authors– offer valuable information about networks of influences and the reception of ideas in the grammars of the tradition.
