La cargotectura doméstica como tendencia. Entre moda, creatividad y sostenibilidad

Resumen

El presente artículo ahonda en el reciente concepto de cargotectura, esto es, la arquitectura realizada en las últimas décadas recurriendo a contenedores industriales en desuso como exoesqueleto tectónico. En particular, en este caso se realiza un repaso genérico a diferentes ejemplos de cargotectura doméstica, realizando una categorización de la misma en función de sus usos individuales o colectivos, permanentes o temporales, urbanos o rurales, etcétera. El estudio de los distintos casos sirve también para analizar las características específicas de este tipo de arquitectura y discernir entre sus cualidades (bajo impacto ambiental y energético, rapidez de realización, movilidad y dinamismo, coste económico ajustado…) y sus potenciales dificultades de uso (sensación de temporalidad, cuestionamiento estético…). No obstante, el objetivo último del artículo es el de ofrecer una aproximación amplia a un fenómeno arquitectónico que no hace más que ganar protagonismo con el paso del tiempo y que, salvando modas y tendencias, parece destinado a permanecer y perseverar.
