Doctor by the Universidad de Salamanca with the thesis Acercando el paradigma de apoyos al sistema educativo español para la evaluación y planificación de apoyos con alumnado con discapacidad intelectual 2019. Supervised by Dr. Miguel Ángel Verdugo Alonso, Dr. Benito Arias Martínez.

Graduate in Psychology from the University of Salamanca (USAL, 2013). Master in Integration of People with Disabilities – Quality of Life (Master's Degree, USAL, 2015) and University Master's Degree in Teacher Training, Educational Guidance section (Valencian International University, 2014). He obtained his PhD in Psychology (international mention) from USAL in 2019, with outstanding cum laude and extraordinary doctoral award. His doctoral thesis was awarded 1st prize (ex aequo) by the Royal Academy of Doctors of Spain as the best thesis defended in Spain in 2019 on the inclusion of people with disabilities. He has been the beneficiary of a predoctoral contract (2014-2018). During the development of his doctoral thesis, he carried out two predoctoral stays of three months each. The first, funded by the Ministry of Education, Culture and Sports, was at the Beach Center on Disability at the University of Kansas (USA) and the second at the Akademia Pedagogiki Specjalnej at Maria Grzegorzewska University (Poland). In 2020 he obtained a competitive postdoctoral contract at USAL, which he resigned from when he obtained a position as Assistant Professor at the same university. At the research level, Dr. Amor is part of the Institute for Community Inclusion (INICO) of the University of Salamanca, the Recognized Research Group "Research on Disability" of the same university, and the Consolidated Research Unit 115 "Research on Disability" (Research unit approved by the Government of Castile and Leon, Spain). He has published 31 articles in peer-reviewed journals, of which 23 are indexed in JCR (13 in Q1 and 6 in Q2) and three in SJR. He has published four books, five book chapters, three scientific-technical reports, a bibliographic review and various training and professional development materials. In addition, he has participated in more than 90 contributions to national and international conferences, including keynote and invited lectures, and has participated as an organizer and scientific committee in different international conferences. His research career is also supported by his participation in different R&D projects, being, since September 1, 2023, the Principal Investigator of the project "Design and validation of a quality of life assessment tool for students with intellectual and developmental disabilities enrolled in ordinary primary education (ICV-EP-DID; ref. PID2022-141048NA-I00) funded by the Spanish Ministry of Science and Innovation, the Spanish State Research Agency and the ERDF. He has also led various research contracts with organizations at national and European level, and is a regular reviewer of journals well positioned in the JCR and SJR rankings. Accredited as an Assistant Professor Doctor in January 2020 and as a Contracted Professor Doctor and Professor of a Private University in 2021, he is currently awaiting accreditation as a University Professor. He carries out his teaching activity in the degree in psychology at USAL, in the University Master's Degree in General Health Psychology and in the University Master's Degree in Disability Research from the same university. He is currently directing a doctoral thesis as a young researcher, and has been collaborating since 2021 with the Government of the Community of Valencia in the ongoing professional training of educational guidance professionals. He also holds different management and representation positions in the life of the Faculty of Psychology of the University of Salamanca and the degrees in which he teaches.
