I am a theoretical physicist, focused on the development of novel computational techniques for particle physics, phenomenological analysis and interdisciplinary application of data-analysis beyond basic science. Since 2010, I have been actively working on high-energy physics, gaining expertise in multiloop calculations, QCD and EW higher-order corrections, Higgs physics, collider physics and, more recently, quantum computing and machine learning techniques (being awarded by DESY for the innovative developments of quantum algorithms for HEP). I have produced 75 scientific papers (39 of them published in prestigious journals) with more than 6600 citations (h-index 29), graduated several students (3 PhD, 4 MSc, 10 BSc and 2 "diplomado" students; 2 PhD candidates ongoing) and I also gave lectures for a wide range of students (BSc, Master and PhD). I obtained my PhD in Physics (Universidad de Buenos Aires, 2014) supported by CONICET (2010-2014), a Prometeo fellowship (2013) and a MSCA “LHCPhenoNet” fellowship (2014). After that, I held postdoctoral positions at IFIC (2014-2016, 2019-2020) and Università di Milano (2016-2018). I was awarded the prestigious DESY fellowship (2020-2022), and then I joined Universidad de Salamanca (2022). I currently hold a MSCA-H2020 USAL4EXCELLENCE fellowship. I have a wide network of collaborators worldwide, including contacts at INFN, Università di Milano (Italy), DESY, Universitat Regensburg, Max-Planck Institute (Germany), Universidad de Buenos Aires (Argentina), Universidad Autónoma de Sinaloa (Mexico), among others. In the context of academia, I am used to coordinate research teams and train students/postdocs. I played that role during my last position at IFIC – Valencia, and I keep on mentoring PhD students remotely. Also, I participate in the management committee of international projects (such as the COST Action “PARTICLEFACE”). Besides the academic world, I am interested in applying advanced mathematical tools to solve real-life problems, with recent experiences on financial systems and urban mobility. I co-founded an academia-industry collaboration project in which we use machine learning to develop scoring strategies for urban mobility systems. We participated in several startup competitions (by InnSomnia and Mobile World Capital Barcelona). In fact, we have been recently selected by “The Collider” (a Mobile World Capital Barcelona initiative) and COMTE-EBT (organized by Fundación General CSIC, the incubator program of the Spanish Research Council).
