Résumé
This paper analyzes a theory of the translation of latin, understood as a technique or ars. Its fundamental scope is Catulo's vocabulary, some of its compounds and ironical terms. It works with verses as units of translation, compares them to former translations and seeks for their connections with Horace's Ars poetica.
