Resumo
This doctoral thesis evaluates the Spanish translations of William Shakespeare¿s 1 Henry IV by means of a comparative analysis of the most significant passages of the play. Special emphasis is laid on puns and wordplay in general, as they are the main source of the difficulties that translators have to overcome when rendering this play in Spanish.
